"Pleteni Prikazni” and “Darovi od prirodata” – Handcrafted Creations Inspired by the Silence of the Forest and Tradition
Share
In a world of rapid change and mass production, "Pleteni Prikazni” and “Darovi od prirodata” offer a return to simplicity, nature, and attention to detail. This brand was created out of love for handcraft, nature, and tradition, and each product carries its own unique story. With every thread, every stitch, and every natural element, a story is told about a simple, mindful, and sustainable way of living.
Below, we spoke with Elena Vesova Koloska, the creator behind the brand, to learn how her story began, what inspires her, and how nature and tradition shape her everyday creations.
How did the story behind "Pleteni Prikazni” and “Darovi od prirodata” begin?
The story began 10 years ago when we moved from Skopje to the village of Lukovo. Everything happened spontaneously, primarily driven by the need for peace, freedom, and a life connected with nature. "Pleteni Prikazni” and “Darovi od prirodata” are a continuation of my life choice—to live simply, consciously, and connected to the land, rural life, and tradition.
How important is nature in your daily life and in the creation of your products?
Nature is not only my inspiration—it is my home and my everyday life. It dictates the rhythm of my work, the choice of materials, colors, and even the moment of inspiration for creating something. Without it, these products would not exist, because nature is the foundation of my work and vision.
What inspires you the most—the forest, the mountains, tradition, the people around you?
All of them, but most of all the silence of the forest and the harmony within the family. The birds singing on early spring mornings, the buzzing of insects on warm summer days, the colors of the leaves in the vibrant autumn, and the falling snowflakes during long white winter nights—all of this gives depth and meaning to my life.
What does the process of creating a woven piece look like—from idea to final product?
The process begins with a feeling or a need, followed by an idea and the selection of materials, colors, and form. Knitting is a process that requires time, patience, concentration, and presence.
What does it mean to you to work in small batches or create unique pieces?
It means freedom, authenticity, and great enjoyment in the process. Each piece has its own story and cannot be repeated. This brings me a sense of joy, fulfillment, and endless inspiration to continue.
What materials do you most often use and how do you choose them?
I use natural, high-quality, carefully selected materials—cotton, wool, and natural fabrics. The selection is always thoughtful and conscious, focusing on quality and durability.
How do you choose and prepare the natural ingredients you use?
I choose natural ingredients with deep respect for nature, without disturbing the balance and biodiversity of plants. They are collected at the right time from the clean environment of Jablanica Mountain and prepared by hand with great care and love, following traditional and proven methods.
How important is preserving traditional knowledge in your work?
It is extremely important, because it is the only way to preserve the connection to our roots and ensure that the knowledge nature has given us for centuries is not lost.
Which product has a special story behind it?
Every product has its own story—those created spontaneously from an inner feeling, as well as custom-made pieces that carry the stories of the people who ordered them. For me, all products are special and hold an important place in my heart.
What does “sustainable living” mean to you?
Using only what you truly need, creating without waste, living in balance and harmony with nature, and giving back with care, respect, and gratitude.
How do you see the role of handmade craftsmanship in today’s fast-paced world?
Handmade work is a reminder that value is not in speed or mass production, but in attention, inspiration, and the human touch during the act of creation. It reminds us of ancient times when everything was made with effort, care, and respect for authenticity.

What was the biggest challenge when you decided to share this story more widely?
The biggest challenge was stepping out of privacy and sharing something personal with the world—turning my hobby and passion into a home-based family business without disturbing the peace and harmony of our home and natural surroundings.
Who most often chooses your products and for what occasions?
People who seek authenticity, love nature, and want meaningful gifts or something made with soul. The products are often chosen for special occasions that leave lasting memories.
What is your first impression of being part of Vividoshop?
I see Vividoshop as a space that understands, values, and supports small businesses and local creators who create with heart and dedication.
What does it mean to you that your products are part of a platform that supports local creators?
It represents recognition, encouragement, and the feeling that you are not alone in your creative journey—that authenticity has its place and value.
What are your plans for the future?
To slowly develop the story and vision without losing the essence of creation. I want to organize more workshops where I can generously share my knowledge with future generations and contribute to preserving tradition, craftsmanship, and awareness of natural, rural, and sustainable living.
What message would you like to send to people who want to live closer to nature?
Believe in yourself and your inner calling. Nature always shows the way—you just need to listen carefully to your heart, not your mind. Have the courage to take the first step, and Mother Nature will light the path toward fulfilling your dreams and discovering what truly makes you happy and fulfilled.
If your story had a scent, what would it be and why?
The scent of the forest after a summer rain—because it brings peace, depth, a sense of connection to your roots, and at the same time hope for renewal, new beginnings, and the endless continuity of creation.
"Pleteni Prikazni” and “Darovi od prirodata” are not just products—they are part of a way of life dedicated to nature, tradition, and sustainability. With every piece created, a story is told about effort, love, and inspiration drawn from rural living.
If you would like to bring a piece of this magic into your home or gift a unique, thoughtfully handcrafted item, you can find all their products in their online shop on Vividoshop: "Pleteni Prikazni/Darovi od prirodata."
